Thanks to the watchful eye of my roommate Shannon and an incredible sale over at CBD I just got the most charming book in the mail. It's called Conversations with Poppi about God and it is by theologian Robert Jenson and his 8 year old granddaughter, Solveig Lucia Gold. I've only read a few of the short dialogs, but what I have read has been both lucid and enlightening, a rare combination indeed. Well published theologian Jenson is wise and frank, and Gold holds her own as well, demonstrating in her insightful comments and questions how much she deserves her credit as co-author. A true delight, that I can't wait to read in its entirety.
